Boid AB launches from Chalmers Industriteknik

The product design studio Boid AB has grown from its home within Chalmers Industriteknik to become a standalone company.

Founded in 2010 by Anton Grammatikas, Mikael Sundgren, and Professor Ulrike Rahe in cooperation with Chalmers Industriteknik, Boid has become a leader in holistic user experience. Operating from within Chalmers Industriteknik since 2010, as of July first 2022 Boid AB is a standalone employee-owned company.

As an established partner supporting both business and academia, Boid has a unique position at the intersection of product design and user experience. As the boundaries of physical and digital product interaction have blurred, the holistic user experience has become increasingly important. Boid’s expertise at harmonizing digital and physical design has made it a sought-after partner for a wide variety of businesses.

Boid CEO Anton Grammatikas: “Founding and growing Boid together with Chalmers Industriteknik has been fantastic. The network, the brand and the research-oriented environment are unique, but above all our colleagues within Chalmers Industriteknik have really lifted us as a company and as individuals. We expect our connection to Chalmers and Chalmers Industriteknik to continue to flourish as we enter this exciting phase as an employee-owned company.”

“It has been both unique and instructive to found and support Boid’s growth together with young forces and expertise from Chalmers’ research environment. Following this mutual development journey, Boid is now ramping its development as a standalone company. We wish our colleagues at Boid every success and look forward to continuing productive and creative collaboration,” says Golaleh Ebrahimpur, CEO of Chalmers Industriteknik.
