Sustainability is not just good for the environment, it's also good for business.

Nikolaos received his doctorate in 2014 with a thesis in environmental biotechnology within bioelectrochemical processes for water purification. He has broad experience as a project manager of research projects in the production of biofuel, bioenergy and biochemicals from residual products. Nikolaos also has extensive experience in supporting SMEs with their research and innovation applications and as an evaluator for EU and national funders. He has good knowledge of the EU and the Swedish financing landscape.

Nikolaos works to create efficiency in the bioeconomy and water sectors, and to develop innovative, sustainable bioenergy and biochemical platforms as well as water resource management and water treatment solutions. His focus is to create sustainable, innovative solutions that have a positive impact on both people and the environment in the production and use of resources such as energy, chemicals, water and CO2. He also works to support innovative SMEs through EUSME Support. This goes hand in hand with his genuine interest in strengthening the innovation and competitiveness of Swedish business life.
