Swedish Chips Competence Centre (SCCC)

The Swedish Chips Competence Centre (SCCC) is Sweden’s hub for semiconductor competence, bringing together companies, researchers and innovators with cutting-edge technology, training and support. Semiconductors and chips are used in all parts of our society. To ensure we have access to the best technology, the semiconductor industry in Europe needs to grow. In the EU, the Chips JU programme has been tasked with strengthening the European semiconductor industry, including establishing national competence centres in all Member States. SCCC is the Swedish national competence centre in Chips JU.

Chalmers Industriteknik has several important tasks in the centre with SCCC’s Deputy director with us. We are responsible for developing the ecosystem, working with the stakeholders, guiding the use of pilot lines and design platform for semiconductors and chips and working with communication.

SCCC is funded 50% by Chips JU and 50% by Vinnova. Partners in the centre are Lund University (coordinator), Chalmers Industriteknik and KTH.
