Finding solutions to critical problems.
Niklas has extensive experience in fluid flow and thermodynamic simulations, including both single-phase and multiphase systems, with a background spanning academia and industry. He obtained his PhD in 2023 in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics with the thesis “Dynamics of Bubbles Across Scales”, which focuses on advanced simulation and analysis methods for bubbly flows ranging from microscale to metre-scale phenomena.
He has led and contributed to multi-year research projects on the simulation of falling films with evaporation, in collaboration with companies in the pulp and food industries, and has also carried out flow and heat transfer analyses for applications in the field of geoenergy.
Niklas’s expertise includes the development, application and analysis of state-of-the-art simulation methods for complex fluid flow and heat transfer problems. He specialises in identifying the information that is critical for a given flow problem and determining how best to obtain it using modern computational methods. His work spans a wide range of industries, including chemical processing, pulp and paper, food, heating and cooling, and water management, supporting both industrial projects and research collaborations.
