Hamidreza is passionate about research and development of multi-disciplinry engineering tools as well as high-fidelity numerical models in thermo and fluid dynamics applications. He works with wind energy technology and heat management system for a sustainable commercial air transportation.
Hamidreza Abedi has a PhD degree in Thermo and Fluid Dynamics from Chalmers with a specialization in wind energy. His research interests are computation of fluid flow & heat transfer using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and development of industry-oriented computational methods for wind power aerodynamics.
Hamidreza is involved in a wind power project, financed through the Swedish Wind Power Technology Centre (SWPTC), aiming to predict and enhance lifetime of wind turbines under harsh operating conditions. He is also a member of ENABLEH2 project (ENABLing cryogEnic Hydrogen based CO2 free air transport) funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. His research area in ENABLEH2 is conducted to the conceptual design of the fuel heat management system for cryogenically powered commercial aircraft.
